Social proof is everything. An advert with lots of likes, shares and comments hints to your prospects that your offer has a high value. Moreover, a single recommendation comment from a fan can very quickly flip a cold prospect into a warm one.
When your advert attracts lots of engagement, it’s definitely worth showing your new prospects - especially if you’ve paid for that engagement.
The problem is, as soon as you edit or duplicate that winning advert, you lose all that social proof of engagement.
Here are 2 easy steps you could take to keep your old social proof on your new ads.
1) Get the Old Facebook Post ID.
Find the winning Facebook ad in Adverts Manager > Click "Edit" > Click on the box-with-arrow icon on the top right corner of your advert >>> Select “Facebook post with comments.”
A new window will appear with your winning advert. Copy the last 16 digit number, which is your Facebook Post ID. (See Image: Step 1.)
2) Create the New Facebook Advert.
Create a New Ad > Select “Use Existing Post” > Click “Enter Post ID.” > Paste the Facebook Post ID here.
You will be able to preview your winning advert on the right with all the social proof on it. (See Image: Step 2.)
And there you have it! You could use this Facebook Post ID as many times as you like to build more social proof on top of it. Pretty neat, right?
